Nordic Opens Wilmington DC
Second Major Expansion in 2009 Adds 50 New Jobs

map-wilmington.jpgWilmington, NC—February 17, 2009— Nordic Cold Storage, an Atlanta-based leader in refrigerated supply chain services, announces the opening of their new Wilmington, NC frozen distribution and import / export center. This facility will create 50 new jobs when fully staffed, and provide frozen distribution services for U.S. and international companies.

“The Wilmington DC expands our network and provides customers with needed storage solutions near the port. This is our sixth North Carolina facility and we believe the state is good place to do business.” said Don Schoenl, Nordic’s CEO.

The new facility marks the second expansion for Nordic in 2009. The company expanded their Rockmart, Georgia facility, creating 20 new jobs. The Wilmington facility is the 13th in Nordic’s growing Southeast network, strengthening the company’s domestic and international cold chain presence.
